Katonah Sidewalk Celebration

Sidewalk SamuraiOn Sunday, October 19th, Bedford 2020 is joining forces with the Katonah Museum of Art, KVIS‚ÄĒThe Katonah Village Improvement Society, and the Katonah Chamber of Commerce as we all celebrate the opening of a new sidewalk connecting the village to the Museum.

This event has literally been years in the making as all community organizations have waited with patient hope for this new sidewalk to be made. Now you can explore even more of Katonah on foot, or even invite friends to visit by train and walk over to meet you at the museum!

Former and current Town Supervisors, Lee Roberts and Chris Burdick, wil be on hand to lead the ceremonies. The schedule of events looks like this:

  • 10:30am: Family Mask Making, Katonah Commuter Lot #1
    11:45am: Parade from Town to the Museum
    Noon – 5pm: Activities at KMA (and don’t forget to stop by the Bedford 2020 table!)

We’ll be at the Bedford Hills Free Library on Saturday, February 8th, from 10:30am – 12:30pm, and at the Katonah Village Library on Saturday, February 15th from 11:30am – 1:30pm.

Saturday, October 26th: Katonah Village Library Book Sale, 11:30am Р1:30pm, upstairs on the main floor. Stop by our table to receive guided support on how to apply for a free or reduced-cost home energy assessment from an Energize Bedford team member.


Sunday, October 27th: Bedford Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast, 8am to 1pm, Bedford Hills Community House.¬†Get energized with a great pancake breakfast… And, learn about getting your home energized afterwards!






We’re Having A Party

On January 25, 2014, we’re having a party to celebrate Lee Roberts’s 20 years of service to the Bedford community.Save The Date!

Lee’s leadership and hard work on countless issues made it possible for Bedford to become a pioneer for smart choices in going green and going forward. ¬†Her personal example of volunteerism and service, combined with her dedication to fostering partnership between local government and community initiatives, has empowered citizen-led efforts like Bedford 2020 to thrive.

Join us for this Saturday evening event next January as we all take a moment to raise a glass to Lee and tell her what we really think of her!

July 13th: Farm to Museum Party

Community HeaderJoin us this Saturday, July 13th, for an evening of music, art, local food and FUN!

Bedford 2020 is co-hosting, Farm to Museum, a Summer Saturday Party featuring a farmer’s market right at the Katonah Museum of Art. ¬†From 6:30 to 8:30 pm the Museum‚Äôs sculpture garden will be transformed into a market at which purveyors of local food will offer a fabulous selection of¬† ‚ÄúSunday Brunch‚ÄĚ ingredients including breads, farm fresh eggs, ¬†jams, cheeses, fresh flowers and more.

Bedford 2020 will be giving out complementary shopping bags and some great Sunday brunch recipe ideas, for which most of the ingredients can be picked up right at the party!¬† Bedford 2020 will also be showing off ¬†it’s new VegOut! project devoted to growing, buying and eating local food.

The Farm to Museum party ¬†also features the lively French music of Les Tappan Zigues, beer & wine, hors d’ oeuvres and a chance to view KMA’s ¬†brand new Collage exhibition.¬†

This FREE event is Saturday, June 22, 2013 ~ 11am to noon ~ John Jay Homestead, Main Barn

This is also opening day for the Homestead Farm Market! Make a morning of it. Come for the talk and pick up fabulous locally grown food before or after!
