We encourage everyone in our community to take this simple pledge to eat a plant-based diet one day a week for 12 weeks to help us reach our Climate Action goals!

This will reduce our collective carbon footprint and raise awareness about the impact of food choice on the environment.

The Fine Print (See also FAQs)
MEAT? We mean beef, chicken, fish, pork, etc. The pledge does not ask you to eliminate animal by-products like eggs or dairy.
MONDAY? If you choose to eliminate meat on a day that is not a Monday we will still count it towards our goal.
ALREADY DO?  If you already eat meatless meals, take the pledge to reduce your meat consumption by an additional day.
VEGETARIAN? If you already eat a plant-based diet, but serve food to people who don’t, pledge to reduce your household’s meat consumption by one day a week.
SURVEY Please help us by responding to our surveys during the 12 week period so we may track participation.
SUPPORT We will reach out with resources, recipes, incentives and news about how the entire community is getting involved. We will also provide info about local food and where to buy less carbon-intensive locally raised meat for other days of the week.
